Job SummaryThe Line Supervisor is a critical role in our manufacturing facility, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of their assigned production line. This includes material preparation, blending/mixing, baking, packing, and palletizing. The successful candidate will ensure attainment of safety, quality, people, service, and cost targets for the line while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Main Responsibilities- Direct line core teams to deliver safety, quality, people, service, and cost targets, with a focus on yield waste reduction.
- Translate business and factory targets into actionable line objectives, deploying them to the team and leading capacity planning for assets under control.
- Develop and document professional growth plans for team members, as well as training plans to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Manage costs to budget, focusing on safety, quality, and operational efficiency, and drive problem-solving initiatives and track RCA completion.
- Participate in production planning and recruitment, focusing on team development and resolving team issues promptly in accordance with CBA/Kerry policies.
- Implement and improve the Tier cycle for daily management and reporting, escalating issues for quick resolution and conducting regular PDCA cycles to achieve targets.
- Develop and execute OEE Building Block strategy to drive sustainable performance, ensuring line alignment with 1KPS and established processes.
- Ensure machine condition, cleaning, and improvement to drive performance, supporting maintenance and sanitation scheduling to reduce PM backlog.
- Resolve issues promptly and demonstrate servant leadership.
- Participate in Performance Improvement & Network Improvement Teams, acting as a key contact for line new initiatives and technology introductions, providing historical data as needed and reporting progress on initiatives.
- Engineering degree highly preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of manufacturing experience, ideally within a food/beverage manufacturing environment, with 5 of those years at a supervisor/leadership role.
- Experience with TPM and lean systems.
- Microsoft Office skills and SAP.
- Leadership, communication, and organization skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
The typical hiring range for this role is $62,906 to $92,755 annually, based on several factors including education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. Kerry offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and retirement contribution, subject to eligibility requirements.
