Patient Care Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with their dialysis treatment, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the registered nurse or supervisor.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the registered nurse or physician.
- Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of dialysis equipment and patient areas.
- Assist with patient education and training on dialysis procedures and equipment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and support.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid PCT national certification or state-specific certification as defined by Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS).
- At least two years of previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
