Position Summary:
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is tasked with overseeing the recruitment initiatives for designated business lines.

This role encompasses sourcing, interviewing, hiring, orienting, and onboarding new team members, as well as implementing human resources practices, policies, and procedures, while serving as an advocate for team members throughout their employment journey.


Key Responsibilities:
50% - Spearhead comprehensive recruitment processes for assigned roles.

Establish and nurture strong partnerships with hiring managers to facilitate the achievement of operational objectives, including time-to-fill metrics, utilization of external recruiters, and employee retention.

Assist in crafting job descriptions and recruitment strategies. Manage all job postings, ensuring consistency across internal and external platforms.
Screen candidates and present qualified individuals to hiring managers for consideration. Evaluate resumes and credentials for alignment with position requirements. Coordinate interview schedules.

With the approval of the HR Business Partner, extend verbal offers of employment and initiate the onboarding process through the HRIS.

Develop a diverse pipeline of qualified candidates for specific business lines.

Enhance candidate sourcing channels by engaging with community organizations, educational institutions, employment agencies, and job boards to actively recruit a diverse talent pool.

Communicate organizational information, including job openings and benefits. Conduct presentations and maintain relationships with sourcing channels for assigned roles.

Identify and participate in recruitment events, such as career fairs and virtual showcases, to bolster ProAssurance's brand as an Employer of Choice.

Maintain and engage with the candidate pool, fostering interest in future openings.

Collaborate with the HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition Manager to provide training on hiring, interviewing, and onboarding processes for managers and supervisors as needed.

Support the internship program for designated business lines.

40% - In partnership with the Talent Acquisition Manager, design and oversee a dynamic orientation and onboarding experience for new hires.

Conduct New Team Member Orientation within two days of hire, ensuring timely completion of subsequent HRIS tasks by the new team member.

Engage with hiring managers and incoming team members prior to their start date.
Monitor post-offer contingencies and HRIS processes for completion.
Collaborate with managers to create a plan to assist new team members in assimilating to policies, procedures, and organizational culture.
This includes facilitating 30/60/90-day onboarding meetings and regular check-ins with new hires.
Track and follow up on the completion of new team member tasks in the HRIS.

Additional Responsibilities:
5% - Stay informed about current legislation and policy changes affecting recruitment and hiring practices.
5% - Engage in departmental, cross-departmental, and organization-wide projects.

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, or a related field is required. Candidates without a degree must have a minimum of eight (8) years of HR experience.
At least eight (8) years of talent acquisition experience with a proven track record in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Familiarity with sourcing techniques using social media platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook to identify top talent is required.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are crucial.
Proficient knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite are necessary.
Ability to adapt under tight deadlines and in high-pressure situations is important.
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
Must be able to work the hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.

Salary Range:
$61,000 - $102,083.00
The displayed salary range represents the full pay grade for this position. Most candidates will start in the lower half of the range.
