About the Role

We're seeking a motivated and passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Defence on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week. As a key member of our operation, you'll be responsible for preparing high-quality food, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and ensuring the correct use of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food to a high standard, ensuring quality and presentation meet our clients' expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations and food handling standards.
  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, and ensure the correct use of machinery and equipment.
  • Represent Defence and maintain a positive brand image, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate ability to manage pressure, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Be an excellent team player, with a committed and organized approach.
  • Have a desire to succeed in your role, with a flexible attitude to work shifts.
  • Possess exceptional timekeeping and reliability, with a strong work ethic.
