Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the food service department, ensuring that all food is prepared and served safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our patients, including those with special dietary requirements.
  • Supervise and train food service staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent patient care.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of food inventory, production, and waste, as well as patient meal intake and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with our healthcare team to ensure that our patients receive comprehensive care, including nutrition and meal planning.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest food safety and sanitation guidelines, and ensure that our food service department is compliant with all regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management or a related field.
  • Current Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in food service management software.
