Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Machine Operator - Production Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Control: Compare and approve print quality to ensure it meets specified limits of the tri-fold color range.
- Inventory Management: Calculate the number of parts needed to complete orders and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Packaging and Labeling: Number labels on each order in sequence, beginning where the prior shift ended, and place completed boxes on skids and individual parts in totes or on tray packs.
- Scrap Management: Identify and separate products of poor quality, placing them in designated scrap containers and labeling them accordingly.
- Documentation: Complete corresponding paperwork for each order, including any quality issues or customer specifications.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental, and Department of Health requirements.
- Communication: Communicate with operators taking over your machine regarding any quality issues or customer specifications on the current order.
- Reporting: Notify supervisors of any print quality concerns regarding product.
- Housekeeping: Maintain an orderly and clean work area.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 7 hours during an 8-hour shift and 10.75 hours during a 12-hour shift. Minimal lifting capabilities of 30 lbs. at a minimal frequency of 20 times per hour.
- Vision: Visual acuity of at least 20/50 corrected vision for distance and a minimum near vision ability to read 7-point font at 12 inches.
- Color Vision: Ability to pass the Ishihara and/or the Farnsworth D-15 Color Vision Test.
