Job Description
Position Overview:
The Assistant Store Manager plays a vital role in driving sales and customer satisfaction in our retail stores. As a key member of the store leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in promoting a customer-focused sales culture, managing sales operations, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze sales reports and KPIs to determine business needs and execute in-store business strategies.
  • Establish clear expectations and hold the store team accountable for achieving brand, performance, and behavior standards.
  • Control payroll and supply budgets, ensuring effective financial management.
  • Perform and oversee basic operational activities, including scheduling, target shrink audits, physical inventory, and merchandise flow processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, loss prevention policies, and operating procedures, conducting associate training to reinforce proper controls.
  • Administer operational processes, including inventory receipt/dispatch, daily replenishment, and physical inventory execution.
  • Maintain visual presentation, organization, and facility maintenance, representing the brand's image.
  • Develop a high-performance culture, motivating sales teams to meet sales and productivity goals.
  • Train and coach staff to ensure product knowledge and selling skills.

Leadership and Team Development:
  • Motivate and inspire the store team, developing a shared vision and modeling core values.
  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Communicate effectively with store teams and the Store Manager to lead positive change.
  • Seek personal development opportunities and solicit feedback to build leadership skills.

Customer Experience:
  • Model, teach, and promote the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles and standards, offering a cohesive omni-channel experience.
  • Utilize sales techniques and communicate product knowledge to customers, recommending merchandise selections or helping to locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns and maintain a fast and efficient register experience.
  • Ensure team maintains consistent client communication through customer books, rewards programs, and customer capture sign-ups.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of retail management experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills
  • Ability to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company
  • Proven excellent customer service skills with statistical track record in sales and leadership
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership qualities, training, and team-building skills
  • Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations
  • Ability to communicate with customers and staff

Physical Requirements:
  • Constant Walking/Standing % of 8-hour shift
  • Occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.- 1-33% of 8-hour shift
  • Frequent Climbing- 34%-66% of 8-hour shift
