SIL Engineering Technician

At Softworld, a Kelly Company, we are seeking a highly skilled SIL Engineering Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for fabricating interconnecting cables and harnesses based on engineering drawings, performing troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of test bench and lab infrastructure equipment, and ensuring compliance with military and aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Fabricate interconnecting cables and harnesses based on engineering drawings.
- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of test bench and lab infrastructure equipment.
- Ensure compliance with military and aerospace standards.
- Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- High School diploma.
- 5 years of industry experience in technical roles.
- Military experience in related aircraft/systems maintenance and support is a plus.
- Ability to attain clearance, if needed.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Team player.
- Crimping and assembling connector contacts and cable assemblies to aircraft standards.
- Soldering to J-STD standards.
- Reading and understanding aircraft level wiring diagrams.
- Reading and understanding mechanical drawings and diagrams for metal fabrication and assemblies.
- Familiarity with test equipment, troubleshooting, and repair of wiring, and isolation.
- Experience with wiring serial data interfaces, including ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RS422, RS232, Ethernet, IEEE-488.
- Experience installing fiberoptic cabling for reflective memory hardware.
- Ability to properly use hand tools and shop equipment in a safe manner.
- Physical strength to lift up to 75 pounds and work in confined areas for extended periods.
- Familiarity with ESD and FOD practices.
