Process Engineer Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer Intern to join our team at Holcim US. As a Process Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cement production and work closely with our team of experienced engineers and professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in optimizing cement production processes, including adjusting parameters and troubleshooting to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor and control process variables such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates, using automated systems and manual techniques.
- Understand and support various mechanical, maintenance, and production operations within the plant.
- Participate in sustainability and environmental impact assessments, working on projects aimed at reducing the plant's carbon footprint and improving resource efficiency.
- Collect and analyze data related to cement production, quality control, and environmental performance.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining product quality through testing and inspecting raw materials and finished products.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Strong academic performance with a solid understanding of engineering principles.
- Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- High energy and a proactive approach to tackling new challenges.
- A team player who can collaborate across different levels of the organization.
- Willingness to spend significant time in the field, gaining hands-on experience and firsthand knowledge of our business operations.
