The salary for this position is estimated to be between $70,000 and $75,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.



Job Description

The Lead Pastry Chef and Culinary Strategist will be responsible for leading our pastry team in the creation of innovative and delicious desserts, as well as developing and implementing new menu items and culinary concepts. This role will also involve working closely with our culinary team to ensure that all aspects of our menu are of the highest quality and consistency.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead and manage the pastry team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure exceptional performance and productivity.

  • Develop and implement new menu items and culinary concepts, working closely with our culinary team to ensure alignment with our brand and aesthetic.

  • Collaborate with our purchasing team to source high-quality ingredients and materials, ensuring that all aspects of our menu are aligned with our commitment to sustainability and local sourcing.

  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all menu items meet our high standards of quality and consistency.

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and increase customer satisfaction, working closely with our sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment with our brand and marketing objectives.



Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the Lead Pastry Chef and Culinary Strategist must have:





  • A minimum of 3 years of high-volume restaurant management experience, with a proven track record of success in leading and managing culinary teams.

  • Exceptional culinary skills and knowledge, with a passion for creativity and innovation in the kitchen.

  • A strong understanding of menu engineering and pricing strategies, with experience in developing and implementing menu items and culinary concepts that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

  • A strong commitment to sustainability and local sourcing, with experience in sourcing high-quality ingredients and materials that align with our brand and aesthetic.
