Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider

UNC Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at UNC Urgent Care Holly Springs. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, cost-effective care to patients within your scope of practice in collaboration with a supervising physician.

Responsibilities:
  • Clinical- Obtain relevant health and medical history, perform thorough physical assessments, review and interpret pertinent diagnostic tests/results. Develop appropriate differential diagnoses, treatment plans, and prescribe/order evidence-based pharmacological agents consistent with departmental guidelines and privileging.
  • Education- Educate clients and/or families regarding medical conditions, treatment, and follow-up. Collaborate with clinicians, staff, and students to promote continuity and patient-centered care.
  • Leadership- Provide instruction to physicians, house staff, nursing, ancillaries, and/or students. Participate in community/network outreach programs and develop/lead community/network outreach programs.
  • Professionalism- Interact with patients and families in a respectful, courteous, and timely fashion using appropriate communication for the patient and situation.
  • Quality/Research- Engage in daily continuous quality improvement by identifying and implementing processes for improvement. Consult with management in assessment, problem-solving, decision-making, and evaluating clinical/system issues and models of care.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of North Carolina. Board certification if required by the Department.
  • No prior experience required.
