Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain comprehensive health and medical histories, perform thorough physical assessments, and interpret diagnostic tests/results to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with a supervising physician and other healthcare professionals to provide seamless care to patients within your scope of practice.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines to ensure the highest quality care.
  • Develop and lead educational programs to promote patient and family-centered care, as well as community outreach initiatives to improve health outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
  • Licensure as an Advanced Practice Provider (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) in the state of North Carolina.
  • Board certification, if required by the Department.
  • DEA certification.
