Position Summary

Become a part of the new Renesas AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) Center of Excellence. Our Reality AI Tools empower clients to enhance the intelligence of every product they develop. We strive to simplify the processes of machine learning model creation, sensor and processor selection, and embedded product development for our customers. Our core technology seamlessly integrates signal processing, automatic feature selection, and AI model generation, ensuring efficient operation on cost-effective MCUs. As we expand rapidly, we seek skilled and experienced professionals to help establish and lead this center. This particular role emphasizes acoustic sensing within automotive contexts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, detect, and track sound sources in the acoustic landscape surrounding vehicles.
  • Innovate and develop algorithms to enhance performance and integrate data with other automotive systems.
  • Design pre-processing stages and feature spaces based on acoustic signal processing.
  • Incorporate fresh concepts from the research community.
  • Engage in technical problem-solving for field data collection and demonstrations in real-world automotive environments.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of AIoT center engineers and Renesas automotive solutions engineers globally.
  • Assist in building, guiding, and mentoring a growing technical team, leveraging broad experience with sensors, signals, and their applications across various settings.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's Degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • 3-6 years of professional experience in related domains, including leadership roles in project teams.
  • Experience in developing and implementing audio signal processing algorithms.
  • Familiarity with automotive signal buses, systems, and instrumentation, particularly in relation to ADAS.
  • Proficient understanding of various Machine Learning/AI classification and regression techniques, including unsupervised learning and anomaly detection, beyond just deep learning.
  • Some experience applying machine learning to signals in areas such as audio, vibration, and electrical domains (our focus is on signals, not images or videos).
  • Strong programming skills in MATLAB, with competence in C/C++ and/or Python.
  • A collaborative and positive attitude.
