Descripción del Trabajo

El Lead Litigation Counsel desempeña un papel crucial en la gestión de todo el proceso de manejo de casos, supervisando tareas desde la presentación inicial hasta el veredicto. Sus responsabilidades abarcan el manejo de casos graves y catastróficos. El Lead Litigation Counsel asegura el cumplimiento por parte del personal con los procedimientos operativos estándar (SOP). Reporta a los abogados supervisores y/o a los socios de la firma, y tiene un rol de supervisión sobre asistentes de litigio, paralegales y gerentes de casos.

Las tareas clave incluyen la evaluación de posibles clientes de litigio, la realización de investigaciones de jurisprudencia y la gestión de registros de casos, así como la negociación con compañías de seguros. El Lead Litigation Counsel participa activamente en la redacción de alegatos, mociones y documentos de descubrimiento, así como en la preparación y participación en mediaciones. Otras responsabilidades incluyen la entrevista y el interrogatorio de testigos, la defensa en juicios y la preparación de clientes para deposiciones. Además, los abogados de litigio brindan asesoría a los clientes, realizan investigaciones sobre cuestiones de cobertura y participan en la gestión médica, educando a los clientes.

Calificaciones

Calificaciones Mínimas para el Counsel de Litigio:

  • Diez (10) o más años de experiencia en lesiones personales.
  • Diez (10) o más juicios de lesiones personales como abogado principal hasta el veredicto.
  • Miembro del Colegio de Abogados de Nueva York.
  • Profesionalismo y priorización del servicio al cliente y la representación.
