Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to fill a Regional Float position. This full-time role is based in Danville, Pennsylvania, and involves performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations using proper patient positioning, identification, and exposure techniques.
  • Operate and maintain radiology equipment, including setup and adjustment of immobilization and radiation protective equipment.
  • Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology to perform examinations.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and maintain related records and notations.
  • Assist in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures and participate in the educational training of students.
  • Float between hospitals within a regional location to fill scheduling gaps due to time off and staffing shortages.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have graduated from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology and be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 24 months of hire.
