Position Overview: Stress Testing Registered Nurse
The Stress Testing RN is responsible for overseeing Cardiac Exercise Tests, which include Echocardiography, Pharmacological Stress Echocardiography, Exercise Stress Testing, and Stress Radionuclide Cardiac Imaging, all conducted under the direct supervision of a physician. This role requires the RN to document and assess professional nursing care for patients ranging from young adults to geriatrics within the Nuclear Imaging and Cardiology Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient flow effectively
- Conduct patient assessments
- Supervise exercise tests and cardiac imaging procedures
- Organize tasks in an efficient manner
- Perform procedures with precision and ensure the safety of equipment
- Document procedures and conduct routine equipment inspections
- Assist in delivering optimal care for patients undergoing cardiac evaluations
- Encourage education and skill development among colleagues
- Support a safe working environment
- Provide assistance in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Willingness to travel to various locations as needed
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Current RN licensure in Florida
- At least 1 year of Critical Care experience with advanced EKG interpretation skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required
- Strong leadership and critical thinking abilities
- Intermediate proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
