Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac ICU at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Cardiac ICU, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient progress.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including communicating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, medications, and other relevant information to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience working in a high-acuity ICU setting, preferably with a cardiac or surgical patient population.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
