Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare meals in accordance with specific dietary requirements, community protocols, and food safety regulations, under the guidance of the Food Service Director.

This position also involves performing additional tasks as assigned by community representatives.


Health and Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all health, sanitation, and infection control policies while maintaining the standards of practice established by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Must have a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation principles.
  • Compliance with state-specific food handler training requirements is essential.
  • Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Ability to collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, and community staff in fulfilling job responsibilities.
  • Must observe proper safety and sanitation techniques.
  • Willingness to work scheduled hours based on the needs of the position.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.

Experience:

Prior experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
