POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare meals in accordance with specified dietary requirements, community protocols, and food safety regulations, under the guidance of the Food Service Director. Additional tasks may be assigned by community representatives. Adhere to all health, sanitation, and infection control policies while maintaining established standards of practice as outlined by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Education & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must have a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation principles. Compliance with state-specific food handler training requirements is essential.
  • Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated capability to execute both verbal and written directives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are necessary.
  • Ability to collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, and community staff in fulfilling job responsibilities.
  • Competence in observing proper safety and sanitation practices.
  • Willingness to work scheduled hours as required by the position.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.
Experience:
  • Prior experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
Shift and Compensation:
  • Full-time positions available.
