Position Overview:

As a Rating Specialist within the Commercial Lines Service Operations, your primary responsibility will be to assess the premium for various risks utilizing both automated and manual methods. Additionally, you will manage subsequent transactions and the issuance of policies through a range of systems and resources, including but not limited to POS, PMS, ACT, Policy Creator, Microsoft Excel, and iBank. The work performed must adhere to established quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquiring knowledge of rating for 1-3 lines of business through automated and manual methods.
  • Ensuring timely and precise issuance of Commercial Lines policies, quotes, endorsements, and follow-up transactions.
  • Building partnerships with Commercial Lines Underwriters and Underwriting Technicians to deliver accurate products to customers, agents, and insured parties.
  • Utilizing automated methods (POS, PMS, ACT) and manual methods (e.g., manual creation of declarations, manuscript endorsements) for multiple lines of business.
  • Managing the rating and issuance process for new business, renewals, quotes, endorsements, non-renewals, rewrites, cancellations, and report values for small and middle market businesses across various regions.
