Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated individual for the role of Assistant Controller within our Global Client Operations team. This position involves overseeing a variety of portfolios, managing client reporting, and providing essential support to both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will engage with multiple asset classes under our private investment platform, which encompasses Real Estate Equity, Real Estate Debt, Private Equity, Funds and Co-Investments, and Private Credit. Ideal candidates will possess extensive accounting knowledge and be well-versed in operational best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting and financial responsibilities for the firm's private investments, including fund of funds, co-investments, private equity/real assets, real estate, and private credit.
  • Collaborate effectively with third-party service providers.
  • Maintain the general ledger and applicable sub-ledgers.
  • Prepare and review trial balances.
  • Assist in the quarterly closing process.
  • Manage and ensure the timely delivery of client reports.
  • Oversee workflows for capital calls and distributions.
  • Implement fund structures within the accounting system.
  • Work closely with investment teams to ensure alignment.
  • Generate client reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Produce financial performance metrics at the account level.
  • Engage with senior management, portfolio management teams, and investment analysts.
  • Proactively communicate and coordinate with various internal departments.
  • Collaborate with the pricing team on valuations and price analysis.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as required.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Big 4 public accounting environment.
  • Experience in fund accounting and financial statement preparation is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word; experience with Investran is a plus.
