We are seeking a highly skilled Water/Wastewater Maintenance Technician to join our team at Government Jobs. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing technical and mechanical work associated with installation, repair, and maintenance at our water treatment plants, water resource recovery facility, wastewater lift stations, lakes, water booster pump stations, water tanks, and related systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on water and wastewater treatment systems, including pumps, motors, and other equipment.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement process improvements and optimize system performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, manuals, and reports.
- Participate in training and professional development to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
- Valid Grade II Water Operator certification, a Grade II Wastewater Operator certification, or a Grade I (C) Public Wastewater Collection Systems Operator certification within twelve (12) months of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment operations or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge and skills, including mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
