Maintenance Technician II (Days)

Location: New Albany, OH (Onsite)

Position Overview:

This role involves executing a variety of skilled maintenance tasks, including setting up production machinery, conducting preventative maintenance, and lubricating equipment. As an intermediate-level position, you will be expected to operate independently across all responsibilities, which include troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize hand tools, portable power tools, machine tools, and diagnostic equipment to repair facilities and machinery, including motors, pumps, conveyor systems, and fans; assess equipment to identify issues; disassemble machinery for repairs or part replacements; fabricate new components; and adjust mechanical devices as needed.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, including regular inspections and lubrication of moving parts. Capable of performing a wide range of maintenance tasks across operations.
  • Execute production run setups and changeovers on manufacturing and packaging equipment as scheduled. Involved in training equipment operators on basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the mechanical and electrical systems utilized by Pharmavite; consult maintenance manuals when diagnosing issues or learning repair methods.
  • Identify required parts and place orders within approved limits as necessary.
  • Engage with vendors and other resources to explore repair options for production machinery.
  • Leverage computerized maintenance management systems to access relevant information.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement teams and contribute to project initiatives. Strong problem-solving skills aimed at preventive measures to address manufacturing challenges.
  • Adhere to standard operating and safety procedures while performing duties.
  • Complete other related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Certification:

Technical certification is preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of three years of combined training and experience in similar maintenance and manufacturing roles is required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Requires:
  • Proficient knowledge in at least one of three mechanical and fabrication skills as defined in the mechanic skills matrix.
  • Demonstrated understanding of industrial, electrical, and administrative skills.
  • Familiarity with an enterprise resource planning system, preferably JDE.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Office applications (e.g., updating spreadsheets).
  • Fluent English skills to comprehend complex maintenance manuals, safety protocols, communicate effectively with supervisors and vendors, and maintain routine records such as materials lists and labor requirements.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for the majority of the work shift. Capable of pulling, pushing, squatting, etc., to complete repairs. Occasionally lift loads up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

May experience intermittent exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection. Work conditions may include warm or cold temperatures, fumes, vibrations, dust, etc., that could cause minor discomfort. Personal protective equipment must be worn as required.

Safety:

The incumbent must perform this role safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, ensuring the health and safety of themselves and others.

Supervisory Responsibility:

None.

Annual Pay Range:
$57,000 - $86,203.00

This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary for this position, including annual incentives. Various factors determine a candidate's starting salary, such as job experience, specific skills, and comparisons to current employees in similar roles. This information is provided in accordance with applicable laws.

Pharmavite compensates all non-exempt (hourly) employees for overtime hours worked in compliance with state and federal regulations. Management will determine the necessity of overtime based on business needs.

Voluntary overtime requests from non-exempt employees must receive prior approval from their supervisor.
