Job Title: High Performance Computing Team Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced High Performance Computing Team Lead to join our team at Brown University. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of experts in high-performance computing and provide support to researchers, faculty, and staff across the university.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of HPC engineers, designing, deploying, and maintaining high-performance computing systems, and providing technical support to users. They will work closely with researchers, faculty, and staff to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of HPC engineers, providing guidance and oversight on technical projects
* Design, deploy, and manage high-performance computing (HPC) clusters, storage, and networking infrastructure
* Collaborate with researchers, faculty, and staff to understand their needs and provide solutions
* Develop and maintain system documentation, including technical guides and user manuals
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HPC systems

Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* 3-5 years of experience in Linux systems administration and team leadership
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritize activities
* Familiarity with research computing environments, RHEL/CentOS Linux operating management, and problem resolution techniques
* Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, bash, Perl, and Git
* Experience with log correlation software and large-scale research computing platforms

Preferred Qualifications:
* GPFS, Lustre, or BeeGFS filesystem experience
* Basic knowledge of MPI programming and RDMA interconnects
* Infiniband experience
* SLURM experience

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year
