Deliver high-quality speech and language services to clients/patients/residents with various speech, language, cognitive or swallowing problems. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses, ensuring all speech and language related standards, policies, protocols and quality requirements are met.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, instructing clients/patients/residents in practicing speech and language therapeutic exercises. Ensure accurate documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements.
Exhibit flexibility with acceptance of variable work schedules/assignments, participating in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society and Sanford Health. Interact with individuals outside of the department, including providers, case managers, third party payers, public organizations, etc.
May supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provide client/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services. Provide ongoing education and training to peers in the area(s) of expertise as determined by the department leadership.
Qualifications
Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure. Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Speech-Language Pathologist. Holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or currently working on Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
