Literacy Program Facilitator

About the Role

We are seeking part-time, passionate Literacy Program Facilitators to facilitate our after-school reading program. They will guide and mentor a cohort of young Readers and youth Leaders.

About Our Organization

Read Better Be Better is an education nonprofit organization focused on solving Arizona's literacy crisis. We work with partnering schools throughout the state to connect young readers and youth leaders to inspire a love of literacy and leadership.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility is to facilitate the literacy program, ensure curriculum progress, and promote a safe and healthy learning environment. The facilitator will attend essential paid training and onboarding prior to starting at their assigned school.

Requirements

A High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required. *Preferred Candidates are enrolled in a relevant degree program (i.e. teaching, educational studies, youth & early childhood development, social justice, etc.) OR have experience working with children in a school setting.

Compensation Package

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $17, providing a stable financial foundation for those pursuing a career in education.

Work Schedule

A minimum of 5 hours per week is expected, offering flexibility and work-life balance for those interested in this position.
