Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant

LHC Group is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Melbourne, Florida.
About the Role:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to provide high-quality care to our patients in their homes. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans that improve the functional abilities of our patients.
Responsibilities:- Perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education aimed at improving/enhancing the patient's well-being.
- Follow all state-specific laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care.
- Observe, record, and report to the supervising PT, the nurse supervisor, and/or the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition.
- Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.
- Current licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
