Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at Northside Hospital Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and post insurance payments and patient remits in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reconcile batch amounts with bank totals and maintain a log of payments unable to be posted.
  • Assist the Supervisor with balancing to sub-ledger and reporting.
  • Apply transactions message codes to paid and denied charges.
  • Communicate payment and denial trends to management.
  • Meet standards for accuracy and volume.
  • Develop working knowledge of Galen's billing software.
  • Assist with payment and research requests, projects, and troubleshooting of various issues.
  • Maintain essential internal control logs.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times.
Requirements
  • One (1) year experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable OR One (1) year of college or vocational education with emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
  • Basic keyboard skills.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic.
  • Professional verbal and written communication.
  • Basic computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) or more years of college or vocational education with emphasis in Accounting or Business.
