Job Overview

As a Cashier and Host at Silver Gulch, you will be part of a dynamic, high-energy team dedicated to providing exceptional service to every patron visiting our establishment at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests warmly, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
  • Engage in pleasant conversation while efficiently seating guests.
  • Introduce guests to their assigned server.
  • Maintain cleanliness of counters, display areas, and floors, ensuring a tidy and sanitary environment.
  • Organize and display retail inventory in an orderly fashion.
  • Assist customers with product selection and sizing recommendations.
  • Accurately take orders and input them into the Squirrel POS system, processing payments effectively.
  • Handle cash transactions with precision in a fast-paced setting.
  • Follow proper cash-out procedures, ensuring all receipts are organized and tips are verified.
  • Obtain necessary food worker and TAPS certifications, adhering to all relevant guidelines.
  • Uphold the Silver Gulch Service Standards.
  • Express gratitude to guests as they depart, encouraging their return.

Qualifications:

This position requires:

  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Ability to meet service objectives promptly and efficiently.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage service activities effectively.
  • Attention to detail while multitasking.
  • Commitment to understanding and exceeding customer expectations.

Applicants should possess a high school diploma (or equivalent) and have at least two years of relevant experience in food service. A current Food Handlers Card and TAPS certification are required, along with reliable transportation and a professional appearance.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must be able to stand for extended periods, use hands for various tasks, and lift up to 30 lbs. The role involves frequent walking, talking, and hearing, with occasional sitting or stooping. The work environment may expose employees to varying temperatures and noise levels.
