The Hospital Manager is responsible for developing an efficient and effective hospital support team by fostering an environment of trust, teamwork, and accountability. This role partners with the Veterinarian to provide a profitable operation by driving revenue and managing costs while creating a hospital culture based on high-quality patient care and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the hospital support team to achieve labor goals and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Collaborate with the Veterinarian to drive revenue growth and manage costs, including budgeting and financial planning.
- Lead and develop the hospital support team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records and hospital operations.
- Monitor and report on hospital performance metrics, including customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve hospital operations, including process improvements and technology enhancements.
- Collaborate with the regional manager to resolve personnel issues and provide support to the hospital team.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, HIPAA, and state-specific regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the regional manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, health science, or related field.
- At least five years of direct office management experience, including at least two years of supervisory experience.
- Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) or Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive business results and improve operational efficiency.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and timely records.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
