Oral Roberts University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Athletic Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our Sports Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to our student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Injury Prevention and Management
    • Develop and implement injury prevention programs for student-athletes
    • Evaluate and treat injuries, and provide rehabilitation services as needed
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with coaching staff, athletes, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
    • Collaborate with the coaching staff to develop and implement injury prevention and treatment plans
  • Emergency Care and Medical Referrals
    • Plan and administer emergency care as needed
    • Make necessary medical referrals to ensure student-athletes receive timely and appropriate care
  • Record Keeping and Compliance
    • Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
    • Ensure compliance with Department, University, NCAA, federal, and state policies and regulations
  • Education and Training
    • Instruct and evaluate athletic training students
    • Provide athletic training services to both home and away competitions
Requirements
  • NATA Board of Certification certification by start date and eligibility for Oklahoma State licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in athletic training with a Master's degree in a related field, or Master's degree in athletic training
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Division I collegiate experience as an athletic trainer
Additional Information

The Assistant Athletic Trainer position is a full-time, salaried, and benefits-eligible 12-month position. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional opportunities to supplement income will be available through outside events, sports camps, and bonuses.
