Job Title: Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager to join our team at Dabri, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and auditing construction safety for multiple projects, ensuring compliance with all current OSHA requirements and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily safety reviews of work in progress in accordance with current Safety Regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as developed and updated by BuildLACCD.
  • Monitor adherence to Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) requirements and procedures.
  • Support to the Program Safety Manager, including but not limited to, attending any required meetings, or providing safety reports/analysis as requested.
  • Attend construction meeting with college project team and general contractor, leading the safety topic and reporting on site observations.
  • Perform ongoing construction site safety inspections and generate daily safety report for all site visits.
  • Submit weekly Project Health Safety and Environmental Observation Report to College Project Manager.
  • Perform ongoing review, for completion and accuracy, of contractor safety submittals, JHA, MOP, Fall Protection Plans, Crane Lift Plans, Excavation and Scaffold Erecting Plans, Confined Space Entry and hazard assessment of other high risk operations.
  • Perform review of contractor submitted incident reports, participate in safety stand-downs, and prepare and submit lessons learned to Program Safety Manager.
  • Perform and document safety orientation with contractor safety representative.
  • Monitor adherence to zero tolerance and corrective action policy for workers found not in compliance with the Program's safety policy.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years construction/safety experience in the type of work being performed.
  • Evidence of completing OSHA 30 Hour Construction Outreach Training within the last three years.
  • Current First Aid and CPR training from a provider recognized by OSHA.
  • Current HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification.
  • Minimum of holding a valid Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certificate issued by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) or Certified Safety Manager Construction (CSMC) certificate issued by the National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP).
  • Previous Construction Safety Management Experience.
  • Experienced Regional Safety Manager for multiple projects in different stages of construction and various sizes of project.
  • Previous Public Sector Construction Project Experience.
  • Experience on large construction program.
  • Experience working with Contractors and Subcontractors in the field as a Senior Safety Manager (Minimum 5 years of field experience).
  • Flexibility in schedule and transportation to work at multiple sites based on assigned schedule and duties.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office and related spreadsheet and database software.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, establish daily work priorities, and manage multiple active construction projects.
  • Good communication skills.
