Job Title: Customer Service Representative (Order Clerk)

Job Summary:
EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Customer Service Representative (Order Clerk) to join our team in Brooklyn Park. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining customer and vendor relationships, managing requests for quotations, stock orders, returns, and purchase orders, and coordinating with other departments to provide exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and process customer requests for price quotations, orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations.
  • Maintain a rapport with customers and provide exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for receiving, sorting, cleaning, and repackaging overstock and defective lenses, frames, and accessories for return to vendors.
  • Assist in the assembly, packaging, and marking of frames for monthly auto-kit mailings.
  • Use a PC to retrieve customer information, stock status, and order status, and make changes to customer orders.
  • Work closely with vendors to place orders, retrieve order status, and follow up on customer quotations and delivery information.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer and coworker issues.
  • Understand and communicate company policies, procedures, and promotions.
  • Sort and deliver mail to inter-department personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year of experience in customer service, hospitality, or call center environment.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to maintain composure in difficult customer situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and numerical accuracy.
  • Basic PC skills, including MS Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds.
