Job Title: Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the efficient, safe, and productive operation of the distribution center. This position involves leading a dynamic team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Uphold and exemplify the company's core values, lead by example, and develop employees to achieve performance goals and objectives.
  • Warehouse Operations: Manage and supervise warehouse personnel, ensuring safe equipment use and optimal workflow efficiency, and establish operational excellence practices to enhance warehouse effectiveness.
  • Inventory Management: Implement rigorous inventory management controls and processes, and collaborate with the HR team to lead training initiatives and conduct performance reviews.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the Vice President of Operations to align on strategic initiatives and set long- and short-term goals, and support all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, scanning, picking, packing, auditing, inventory control, and shipping.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply Continuous Improvement methodologies to identify challenges and implement solutions that maximize operational efficiency and customer value.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of four years of experience in warehouse operations and supply chain management.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and familiarity with product lines and sales processes is preferred but not required.
  • Qualifications: Continuous Improvement experience (e.g., Lean or Six Sigma) is preferred, and proficiency in ERP/WMS/TMS systems is required.
