We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician PRN to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Job SummaryThe Ultrasound Technician PRN will be responsible for preparing patients for ultrasound exams, collecting relevant information, and performing sonographic exams following established protocols. You will analyze the quality of images and processes as required, and complete data sheets containing pertinent patient information.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for ultrasound exams, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
- Collect relevant information from patients, including medical history and any relevant symptoms.
- Perform sonographic exams following established protocols, using high-quality imaging equipment to capture accurate and detailed images.
- Analyze the quality of images and processes, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results.
- Complete data sheets containing pertinent patient information, including exam results and any relevant notes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Two to three years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist or Sonographer, including two-plus years of experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
- Knowledge of ultrasound technology and imaging protocols, with a strong understanding of patient safety and comfort.
