Job Summary

The Food and Beverage Supervisor is a key member of our team, responsible for overseeing the food and beverage serving of guests in our venue dining areas, catering functions, and concessions stands. This role requires a high level of operational expertise, ensuring the smooth and profitable execution of events.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper setup of all concessions, banquet, and catering food and beverage locations prior to doors opening, including verifying opening inventory, assigning duties to concession workers, and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
  • Provide high-level oversight and operational expertise to ensure the smooth execution of events.
  • Train new and current employees on property procedures and best practices.
  • Will cover or back up any open position to ensure location is fully operational and company standards are met.
  • Ensure a safe and respectful work environment, addressing any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
  • Supervise the service of beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, and verify minimum age requirements.
  • Assist in recording guest orders and relaying them to the kitchen via our system.
  • Compute the cost of meals and present guests with checks, accepting payments and providing change as necessary.
  • Recommend dishes and identify ingredients or explain menu preparation methods.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Meet company standards for excellent attendance.
  • Ensure location equipment is operable and clean prior to events.
  • Recognize and address guests who are visibly intoxicated.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Practice excellent human resources skills, including employee relations, corrective action, coaching, and counseling.
  • Assist the management team with projects, including training, inventory, and special events.

Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment.
  • Ability to supervise the work of others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit, if required by state or federal regulations.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
