Job Title: Benefits Analyst 3

At the University of California, Office of the President, we are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Analyst 3 to join our team. As a key member of our Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC), you will play a critical role in supporting the University's employee benefits programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the compilation of weekly, monthly, or quarterly reports to ensure accurate and timely data.
  • Collaborate with supervisor and manager to build a culture of delivering exemplary service to internal and external clients.
  • Work closely with supervisor and manager to ensure department goals, performance targets are met while maintaining compliance with Plan policy and budget.
  • Develop and implement strategies or methodology for improved deliverables.
  • Manage the processing of assigned survivor applications and keep accurate, current case data.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' experience in Pension Administration, Benefits processing, or comparable experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of survivor death processing.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with survivors, contingent annuitants, beneficiaries, executors, and trustees.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deliver reports, projects, and results within tight timelines and fast turnarounds.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; excellent problem-solving skills; able to influence and advise people at all levels, including leaders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years experience determining eligibility and calculating pre-retirement or post-retirement survivor benefits, and researching and resolving the most complex pre-retirement and post-retirement survivor benefits cases.
Education:
  • Must possess an Associate degree or Bachelor's in Business Administration, Human Resources, Operations Management, Marketing, Public Health, or equivalent work experience.
