Role Overview:
The Clinical Research Pharmacist will be responsible for delivering the essential services and functions of a research pharmacist within a prominent academic medical institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a departmental liaison to study-related personnel and committees.
- Contribute to the educational and professional growth of the Pharmacy department.
- Improve the quality of patient care delivery.
- Participate in professional self-development and engage in scholarly activities.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Compensation: $83.94 per hour
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a Pharm. D Degree is required.
Experience: No prior experience is necessary. A Hospital Pharmacy Residency or equivalent hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
Licensure: A valid Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License is required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is also necessary.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires prolonged periods of standing. Proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills are essential. Attention to detail and the ability to write legibly are necessary. The role may involve lifting, pushing, or pulling weights of less than 20 lbs and may expose the individual to chemicals.
