About the Role:

The Principal Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and direction to a team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other support staff. The successful candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and direction to a team of healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Board certification in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Current licensure to practice medicine and surgery in Connecticut
  • Eligibility for participation in federal health care programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
