Position Overview:
As a vital member of the American Red Cross, you will play a crucial role in the blood donation process, ensuring that lifesaving blood is collected efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving blood collection vehicles to transport necessary supplies, equipment, and personnel to various mobile donation sites.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles with care to maintain the integrity of the equipment and supplies.
  • Creating a welcoming atmosphere for volunteer donors, fostering a positive experience that encourages repeat donations.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols during the blood collection process to ensure the safety of donors and staff.
  • Collaborating with team members to set up and dismantle equipment at donation locations.

What You Need to Succeed:
To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in customer service and strong verbal communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • The physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy items and to adapt to varying work hours.

Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications may enhance your application:

  • Previous experience in healthcare or phlebotomy roles.
