Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team at Ascensus. As a key member of our collections team, you will be responsible for coordinating collections efforts with Accounting, Operations, and Client Services to ensure timely and efficient collections processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement collections strategies to maintain acceptable accounts receivable levels for all clients.
  • Prepare and send collections letters in accordance with policy and ensure timely communication with clients.
  • Process fee collections and maintain accurate records of client payments.
  • Collaborate with collections agencies to work with selected clients and resolve collection issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication with internal associates and external clients.
  • Assist with cash application and month-end close processes.
  • Review and update procedures used in all areas of responsibilities on a timely basis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 1+ years of collections/receivables experience, preferably in financial services.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work independently and as a team player.
