About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled medical geneticist to join our team at the University of Minnesota. As a full-time tenured Associate Professor or Professor, you will provide expert care for children and adults with genetic conditions and inborn errors of metabolism in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing clinical teaching and research opportunities. You will be part of a large academic department with over 100 full-time faculty and a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical genetics and a proven track record of providing high-quality patient care. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care for children and adults with genetic conditions and inborn errors of metabolism
  • Develop and implement clinical teaching programs for medical students and residents
  • Conduct research in the field of medical genetics and publish findings in reputable journals
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements
  • ABMG active candidate status or certification as a clinical geneticist and/or clinical biochemical geneticist
  • Active maintenance of certification
  • Strong background in medical genetics and a proven track record of providing high-quality patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
