Job Summary

Alaska Hay & Feed Supply, LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Feed Store Laborer to join our team. As a key member of our daily operations, you will be responsible for assisting customers, handling inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers in a friendly and helpful manner, answering product inquiries, and assisting with finding the right feed or farm products.
  • Loading and Unloading: Receive and unload incoming shipments of feed, hay, straw, and other products, using proper equipment and safety protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and notify the store manager when products need restocking.
  • Stocking Shelves: Restock shelves and arrange products in a neat and organized manner.
  • Cashier Duties: Operate a mobile point of sale system and process customer transactions accurately, handling cash, credit, and other payment methods professionally.
  • Maintenance: Maintain a clean and tidy store environment, including sweeping, racking, and taking out trash as needed.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about various feed products, animal supplies, and their applications to assist customers effectively.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other store employees to ensure smooth store operations.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy bags or containers (up to 65 pounds).
  • Excellent Customer Service: Provide friendly and helpful customer service.
  • Basic Math Skills: Ability to handle cash transactions and maintain inventory records.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain accurate inventory records and stock shelves efficiently.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Agricultural Products: Familiarity with agricultural products and feed is a plus, but not mandatory (on-the-job training may be provided).
