Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Holiday Station Stores - Workday. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service, resolving customer issues in a professional manner.
  • Perform shift supervision, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the store.
  • Train and develop team members, including Customer Service Representatives and Lead CSR positions.
  • Prepare and transmit daily bookkeeping, invoicing, and gasoline data.
  • Complete daily banking, troubleshoot daily close out, and analyze shift sales.
  • Finalize, transmit, and process weekly time and attendance records and payroll.
  • Attend job-related meetings, which may require working irregular hours.
  • Control merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses.
  • Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits.
  • Assist new applicants with the application process.
  • Perform all duties with minimal supervision.
  • Distinguish between acceptable and unacceptable employment applications, making recommendations for applicant interviews.
  • Conduct performance and disciplinary discussions in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Assume Store Manager responsibilities when needed.
  • Develop employee work schedules.
  • Complete daily store reports and other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Working Conditions

Perform approximately 95% of all work indoors, but will be required to work outside to clean parking lots, gas pumps, take out garbage, etc.

Exposure to extreme cold temperatures while performing occasional work in a walk-in cooler and/or freezer.

Exposure to occasional noise.

Work with a minimum direction and periodic supervision.

Physical Functions
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes of workday.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level.
  • Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds.
  • Ability to bend at waist with some twisting up to one hour of workday.
  • Ability to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands up to all day.
