Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality Android apps using Kotlin, collaborating with a team of experienced developers.
  • Participate in code reviews, pull requests, and pair programming to ensure best practices and quality standards.
  • Contribute to the development of Android experiences from feature inception to launch, utilizing automated tooling like Jenkins, Gradle, and release monitoring tools.
Requirements
  • 9+ years of experience in developing Android apps with Kotlin.
  • Strong understanding of modern development principles, including Trunk-Based Development, Test-Driven Development, and feature toggles.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, Retrofit, and other relevant technologies.
  • Knowledge of mobile landscape trends and emerging technologies.
  • Experience driving quality and release pipelines using CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Artifactory.
  • Good understanding of Android's accessibility features.
What You'll Deliver
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, and UXD teams to build architecturally compliant apps.
  • Partner with platform squads to define mobile engineering standards and best practices.
  • Provide mobile thought leadership to advance Photon's mobile outcomes and facilitate a mobile-first mindset.
  • Support a mobile-first world through upskilling and augmenting squads with deep mobile expertise.
