Job Summary

BioSpace, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Senior Director of Corporate Development to spearhead our Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Business Development (BD) initiatives. This key role will be responsible for identifying and executing strategic growth opportunities that align with our company's future objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a targeting strategy that supports the company's future growth strategy
  • Lead search and evaluation to identify and evaluate acquisition targets, strategic partnerships, and licensing opportunities
  • Oversee and maintain a deal pipeline, track market M&A activity, and lead preparation of routine and ad hoc presentations and reporting packages for senior management and board review
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in M&A, business development, strategy, or investment, with at least 4 years in the biopharmaceutical industry and 4 years of relevant transaction experience
  • Strong business acumen, project management, and change management skills to lead M&A/BD and integration processes
  • Ability to assess opportunities across a range of disease areas, research and technology platforms, and collaboration structures
  • Ability to analyze and understand sales forecasts, P&Ls, risk analyses, and company valuations
  • Experience interfacing with all levels within an organization, including senior executives, to address M&A/BD transactions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently with a high degree of independence
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong negotiation capabilities, including ability to persuade and influence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to demonstrate clear, concise articulation of proposed actions
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, or quantitative field, with MBA or other relevant graduate degree beneficial

BioSpace, Inc. offers a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, bonus, and long-term incentives. The estimated annual base salary for this position ranges from $194,500 to $235,900, depending on various factors such as education, experience, skills, and abilities.
