Job Summary

The Applied Research Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled High-Assurance Systems Administrator to support the development and application of high-assurance computer security systems hardware and software. The successful candidate will engage in the administration and development of high-assurance network systems, including the integration, testing, and analysis of high assurance operational network systems, such as intrusion detection systems (IDSs), firewalls, Layer 2/3 network switches, enterprise-level virus/malware detection systems, network security scanners, and Virtualization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration and development of high-assurance network systems
  • Integration, testing, and analysis of high assurance operational network systems
  • Experience with cryptographic protocols for the secure routing of messages
  • Experience in creating and maintaining the standards of systems operating procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related discipline with 5 years of related experience OR high school diploma with 10 years of directly relevant experience in systems administration
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • DoD TOP SECRET clearance
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related discipline with three (3) or more years of related experience in systems administration or
  • PhD in computer science, electrical engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in the analysis of unknown binary program behavior using static and dynamic techniques
  • Experience in understanding government high-assurance computer systems and network environments
  • Experience in research and development of secure high-assurance systems
