Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team at UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administration and maintenance of our BlackBerry AtHoc Virtual Private Server (VPS) and the WebEOC application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain the WebEOC application, including managing user support requests, creating new user accounts, resetting passwords, and providing application training and troubleshooting support.
  • Provide administration and maintenance of the AOC's BlackBerry AtHoc Virtual Private Server (VPS), including creating and modifying user and distribution lists, and alert templates.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration.
  • Professional candor, lateral and hierarchical accountability, and drive toward a unified mission.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task and assist others to resolve IT-related issues.
  • Knowledge in the installation, maintenance, and administration of computer systems in a LAN/WAN environment.
  • Strong understanding of current Microsoft-supported Windows operating systems.
  • DoD Directive Information Assurance Technical Level II certification preferred.
  • AS in Information Technology or related technical field. BS preferred.
Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time, twist, bend, and squat periodically.
