DTCC provides a flexible/hybrid work model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a third day unique to each team or employee).


Your Role and Responsibilities:
The Development team is responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions.

This may encompass research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products utilized internally or externally on product platforms supported by the organization.

The software development process necessitates extensive domain expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers collaborate closely with business partners and/or external clients to define requirements and implement solutions.

The Application Support Engineering role specializes in maintaining and providing technical assistance for all applications that have surpassed the development phase and are actively used in the daily operations of the organization.

This role involves close collaboration with development teams, infrastructure partners, and internal/external clients to address and resolve technical support incidents.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Verify analyses conducted by team members and implement necessary changes to prevent recurrence of incidents.
- Resolve critical application alerts promptly, including production defects, providing business impact analysis to teams, and managing minor improvements as required.
- Review and update knowledge articles and runbooks with application development teams to ensure information is current.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address application issues and escalate as necessary.
- Validate and submit responses to requests for information from ongoing audits.
- Review and implement Disaster Recovery scripts during planned and unplanned outages, providing Business Continuity Management evidence as required.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to minimize manual effort associated with application monitoring.
- Partner with development teams to provide input during the design and development phases of applications.
- Implement pre-production/production application code deployment plans and manage the end-to-end vendor application upgrade process (e.g., SNOW, SF, etc.).
- Integrate risk and control processes into daily responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; escalate appropriately.

Qualifications for Success:

- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Key Technology Requirements:

Java/J2EE, Oracle/SQL, IBM MQ, SNOW/ITIL Process, Splunk/Autosys. Key platform experience: Linux/Unix, AWS. Technologies that would be advantageous to have include Containers (Kubernetes/Docker), IIB, and Network understanding. Domain knowledge in Finance and Securities is preferable.
