About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented MFG Assembly Technician II to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and testing avionic LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, and other critical components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
  • Assemble and test with emphasis to detail, an assortment of avionic LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, handle and install fiber-optics, and PCBAs
  • Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
  • Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
  • Identify equipment requirements, process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory
  • You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
  • Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
  • Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc)
  • Your work may include contributing to improving SOPs and safety procedures
Additional Requirements
  • Willing to work all shifts (days, evenings, staggered shifts) overtime and weekends as needed
  • Estimated shift times are 1st shift: 6am-2:30PM and 2nd shift: 2:00PM-10:30PM. Shift will vary, depending on program needs
  • Flexible working/commuting in between site locations
  • Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
  • Able to lift-up to 25lbs. unassisted
  • Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
What We Offer
  • Starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $33.50/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years relevant high-traceability manufacturing experience (Aerospace, Medical or related field)
  • 2+ years of hands-on work experience Electrical-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration and/or Harness Integration experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced production environment
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, torque drivers, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters), as well as standard hand tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) and/or Avionics certification/license
  • ASE certification and/or equivalent experience
  • CFOT certification and/or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years reading, interpreting and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings
  • Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
  • Prior military service a plus
